A handheld spearfishing device (Hawaiian Sling) designed with a patented pulley system.  ***Spear not included.***

This pulley system, mounted within the housing, features an elastic band that wraps around two rollers that rotate about an axis perpendicular to the firing chamber.  Tension is exerted on the elastic band to expel the spear. 

This provides an increase in forward acceleration during propulsion by effectively pulling the bands forward (due to the rotation of the rollers).  The pulley system serves as a pivotal component to double the elastic potential energy in the band during propulsion.
